This book builds the electromagnetic model using an axiomatic approach in step: first for static electric field (chapter 3), then for static magnetic fields (Chapter 7).The mathematical  basis for each step is Helmholtz's theorem, which starts that a vector field is determined to within an additive constant if both its divergence and its curl are specified everywhere. Its very useful book for those student who are studying in Electrical Engineering.
